I am a parenthood photographer on Martha’s Vineyard and my passion is for providing you with images that tell the story of your family - whether your children are not even born yet (and you’re looking for maternity or a birth story), or they are newborn, or maybe they’ve all grown up and have found love and families of their own. As an MV-native, born and raised, I know all the scenic spots (and the secret gems) for your session, and while I primarily focus on taking advantage of natural light for sunset sessions, I also offer studio work.

My philosophy as a photographer is that photos are the most powerful gift we can give each other – a frozen instant to crack open and reveal secret rooms of memory, of love, of connection.

As a newborn photographer on Martha’s Vineyard, I bring my deep love for babies, my experience and training as a doula (both labor and post-partum), and my dedicated studio space together to create portraits of your new baby that you will adore. The cliché is true. Time will pass in a blink, and your baby will never get any smaller. Only photos help you slow down and save these early days.

We reached out to Maria to participate in her Baby Friendly Project a few months before our daughter was due. She immediately responded and was super informative of the details of the project as well as her other session packages. She really encouraged thinking over what our vision was, and made it priority to identify those considerations.

We originally met her at the Expectant Parent Retreat, we absolutely loved her work and her obvious passion for newborn photography! Our expectations were exceeded when we saw how she captured the intimacy of the newly forming bond between myself and my newborn. Although Maria didn’t get to spend long with us at the hospital, she still managed to find beautiful opportunities in the smallest of moments.
