Julianne and Rob: Vanderhoop Homestead, Martha's Vineyard Wedding

Bookended by Hurricanes Henri and Ida, Julianne and Rob gathered with their friends and family on a delightful late August afternoon to get married at the Vanderhoop Homestead, with its sweeping views of the Aquinnah shoreline and the late afternoon sunglow.

I knew from the first time I met them (at their “engagement” session - something I look forward to with each couple as a way to get to know each other before the pressure of the big day), that I was going to have fun at their wedding because I have rarely met two people who laugh as much as Julianne and Rob laugh with each other - and the photos tell that story of a love in laughter.

One of my most important jobs as your wedding photographer is understanding the role that photographs play, how photographs shape and contain memories when actual memory fades - and I love to curate the story of your day for generations to come.
