An Alpaca Proposal Like No Other
I love doing surprise proposal shoots because of the intrigue and anticipation, as well as the resultant joy and celebration of a new adventure together, so I was already looking forward to Logan’s proposal - and when he told me he was thinking of incorporating alpacas (from Island Alpaca), I couldn’t wait.
After the usual coordination of the plan - my secret involvement, my reconnaissance to determine the best angles and specific instructions about timing and where and how to position themselves, and my employment of a nonchalant decoy to keep the secret - I was happy to capture (with the help of Hotshot and Leo) the story of their proposal.
My other favorite part of secret proposals is when the gig is up and I am pointed out as part of the plan - because then I can take some photos of the happy betrothed.
